Dr. Brian Wansink of Cornell University is a incredibly energetic and corky scientist. As a professor of applied economics he conducts serious research on how small changes in the physical environment can affect consumption of food–namely eating and purchasing behavior. He is a heavy hitting behavior scientist who takes method seriously (which is always a plus in my book), but another thing I love about Dr. Wansink is how he presents his research. He has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into how to engage an audience outside ivory towers. His wonderfully creative and visually pleasing website at http://www.mindlesseating.org is home to cartoons, graphics, videos and silly anecdotes that make this important work fun and interesting. A beautiful example of science communication, bravo.
